Texas Turtle

A bit design that came out of ranch country in North West Texas. A favorite of cowboys that moved over to the performance horse industry. I've taken an old design and in my opinion made improvements on it. I've moved all the weight around the mouthpiece, which helps the horse understand it better, and have added a horizontal ring that improves lateral pull. We suggest this bit for broke horses.

The softest of our palette pressure mouthpieces.  It features a 1/2" bar with lots of tongue relief. There is a long transition between the port and the bars and a large contoured spoon that conforms to the roof of their mouth.  If you're looking for a palette pressure bit, this is the best I have ever used.  It fits a large variety of horses and is very user friendly.
